I put a cold air induction on my 93 LX and was getting tired of the loud whooshing sound when I stepped on the throttle, so I stuffed a large rag into the passenger fender behind the air filter. It dampened the sound quite a bit, but will it hurt anything? Does the vent or air conditioning settings get air from that part of that fender? I know this sounds dumb. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I don't see why it would hurt. Maybe use something else to shield it rather than a rag. I had a hunting idle issue (while in motion) and using a thin sheet of aluminum to block that area off cured it. I'm running a 14lb s-trim and have a/c, everything works fine.
