Why do these 24lb Ford injectors look different than all the others? They're skinnier and have a blue rubberized coating over the whole body.

The 2001 Cobra R has injectoes like these except red. I think its the newest rendition of injector Ford is switching to. Nothing wrong with them, they just look different. Its like a big piece of plastic with a connector molded in and O-ring seals on both ends. Probably cheaper to manufacture and lighter weight too. They should swap straight in place of your old injectors, just are smaller and look a little funny.

hehe, yeah they do look like toy guns.
On one side they have have 'Ford' and 'F5DE-B5A' and on the other side is more numbers, prolly for production or something.

Also, the pic is from JD's site. I ordered me a set of the flow matched ones a couple months back, but still have yet to install them on my car. I was waiting to do the roller rockers at the same time.

I don't doubt that they fit, I was just curious as to why they look different.
