depending on the track conditions i'll leave anywhere between idle and 2800. as far as slipping the clutch....you have to look at it as if you were leaving a traffic light. you're trying to get moving as quickly as possible without blowing the tires off. basically, you'll ride the clutch slightly to bog the motor. once you get her rolling then you get on her. it takes practice(took me 3 yrs. and 7 clutches), but once you get it down......you can be a real sleeper! imagine the look on the guys face in the lane next to you when you drag his slick tired car through the 1/4 and beat him by 2-3 cars. especially if you 60' better than he does! i tell you, it's great! :evilgrin: :evilgrin: :joy: 5.0royoohwe306 said:my best time is a 2.05 launching at idle with 275/50/15 BFs. how do you slip the clutch and what rpm are you sub 1.99 60 footers launching at?
