What size fittings and hose are you guys using for catch cans? I'm currently using 8AN fittings and hose but get a bunch of blow-by from the catch can breather. Wondering if 10 or 12 is needed, I'm only running 6psi?

I ran two -10 lines and my breather appears to have some blow by as well

You mind attaching a picture of your setup? I might be taking my VC's off and welding some sort of baffle under the vent hole. I'm not too interested in tearing it apart and running bigger lines and hoses.

I have been told -10, -12 is the way to go. I run -8 on mine but never really ran much boost like you. It is on my "to-do" list now that I plan to turn the wick up.
One day I'll likely do a evac pump, but to cheap right now haha.

I run these breather/baffle deals on my valvecovers. They have screens and a mesh filter inside. I'm sure this helps, and part of the reason I never have anything in my catch can.
Hope this helps some

Ran much boost like me; I'm only running 6lbs. Granted I was hitting 15lb during a couple tune sessions from a bad gate spring

I think baffles will be a starting point for me. Super nice ride you have there.

Don't have any good pics right now. I welded a -10 fitting on each valve cover and ran them to a tee, then into the breather/catch can. I will be putting baffles in next time I pull the valve covers

I told you man -10 line or -12
I guess more research before I builit the catch can in the first place. But in 4Jenna can run 8an and 9.70's without blow-by, then my tiny 6psi 400hp setup should be fine as well. I'll be installing baffles under the vent holes on my valve covers this week and let you guys know how the blow-by does.

I realized the fill neck hose to TB was still connected. This has been removed and I now have much less blow-by. I'll run it this way for for a couple weeks and see how thing go.

I have -10 line on my car and suspect it may be a little small....but that is with ~26 psi....

I see some oily fun coming out of my dipstick now again...

It is on my list to convert to -12 but not high on the list...

For the hp and pressure levels here I would think -10 is fine....

I found that my TB to fill neck PCV hose was still connected. I've since removed it and am in the process of getting my gate to control boost below 6-7 psi. We'll see how it goes.

-10AN for me, just went with the push-lock fittings and the moroso valve cover fittings, works great!!!

Thats a pretty big looking combo, how much PSI? What intake combo is that; I'd really like something like it?

I did dome test and tune today and didn't have any blow-by. I'm almost positive at this poitn it was caused from having my TB to fill neck hose connected, causing me to boost the crankcase.

I have a set of very similar valve covers with 1/2 NPT bungs and a fill cap already installed in them that I will be selling shortly.

They are on the ones on the car in the picture.

Shoot me a pm if you are interested, would be really easy for you to set the rest up.

I also use black pushlock....subtle stuff vs. braided.

BOOST IS UNDER CONTROL!!!

This was absolutely my problem and had nothing to do with the On3 kit. I was getting my wastegate boost source from the firewall, which was after the TB. I've since changed it to the nipple fitting that I bought and its connected to the rubber coupler after the compressor coldside exit. I also went from 5/32 vacuum hose to 7/32.

The boost is holding steady all the way up to 5300RPM (when I let out of it) at 4psi. I've got the 40mm gate with the smallest spring in it. I can tell you for sure the ate was not opening before as it makes a very loud exhaust sound when it opens.

I'm sure the issue I wrote about had a bunch to do with my blow-by issues. My system can't obviously handle 15psi and pressurizing the crankcase from the TB. I've had little to no oil in the catch can with around 80 miles of hard test and tuning. This has been with the boost at 4psi. I'll get my boost controller installed now that I have the gate working correctly and dial it up to around 7ish.
