I've heard single plane intakes are typically better for equal fuel distribution

Stock block? If so, I would strongly recommend keeping the rpm below 6500, as that seems to be pushing the blocks capabilities (along with the higher horsepower). With that said, I would stay away from the super victor and stick with an intake that flows well AND suits your desired Rpm needs.

RPM II, Victor EFI or a TFS R intake.....whatever you can find the cheapest.


I WOULD NOT run a carb style intake on that combo.

I'm a fan of the Holley, just clean up the #5 runner.

Man that is a low c/r!

I'm really loving my Victor EFI so far. I wrinkle coated my upper to match my wrinkle black TFS valve covers and it looks awesome. It still makes great low end power and has got to be the easiest plenum to remove I've ever seen.

well i geuss im running the intake i got, the performer

was hoping it would of went the onther way i like the look of the super victor efi, its all nice and open, a clean look i too!
mybe down the road????

I just went to a Super Vic over the Holley about a year ago. Untill you start turning some rpm and have specs on your cam hard to make a good recc. Don't even know what turbo your running either.

Your on a stock block so rpm is the enemy, you will make plenty power to possibly hurt that block with any of the intakes listed.

Run what you have for now, but I agree the SV is way clean.

I almost stuck with the Holley as even Renegade cars run it with great sucess.

From the sounds of it 450rwhp maybe 500. With a turbo the intake does not play as large of role like in a N/A car.
Cam better not have a bunch of over lap stock cams work best with your set up.
I made 640 rwhp with sheet metal upper and performer lower. Victor jr heads With a R block 316. With bone stock cam

ya im going to pull the cam and see if i can find a part # on it

i know the past owner of the motor and he had it built for a blower!

now would a cam thats built for a blower set-up be fine if it had a turbo on it? if not ill look into getting a proper cam

Turbo cams and blower cams do not have much in common.
Small cams like stock ones or a ford racing stock upgrade like a B cam.
Work very well for what you are doing Big N/A cams and blower cams have overlap built into them and are not meant to live with exhaust pressure.
With overlap and exhaust pressure being higher than intake charge it will shove exhaust back though cylinder and intake. and that's Bad news.

and speaking of exhaust im running a 4 down pipe with dual 3inch exaust that should flow just fine eh!

and as soon as i can ill check the cam
