Went to the track today...95deg outside..1st run was [email protected] Foot breaking and spinning slightly. (wont hook on the brake) Let the car cool but once it was hot it stayed hot...lol...Only ran [email protected] after that. Stayed pretty consistent @11.6. Engine temp was about 204deg and Intake air temp was about 95-98 before the run then as I was going down the track it was about 125-130 deg. Dropping .3 tenths seem out of the ordinary in HOT conditions? Also I have a stock thermostat which is 195deg. Should I get a 160 or 180 deg thermostat to help keep the car cooler in hot conditions? Track doesnt hook up tooo good even worse when the temp came up got greasy on the starting line...

What tires r u running? And what cooling system? If its stock i wouldnt bother changing tstats. Good times for footbraking. Try leaving on the brake but on low boost, 2-3lbs.

good times in the heat. I have a 160 t-stat but if it helps. I have an aluminum radiator and dual electric fans but my downpipe is behind the top of the radiator. I dont like seeing temps go above 200 on mine.
did you see what boost was on the first run vs the others? your sig says 15psi on occasion. LOL. My manual controller is set at about 10 but I saw 14 on my 11.2 pass.

The first pass was about 14psi-15psi...All the other passes it was about the same maybe 1psi lower. I did notice as the car and day got hotter it wouldn't make as much boost no matter how Hi I turned up the manual controller. But that could be because the orifices on the controller need to be drilled out and or the spring in the waste gate got weaker due to the heat. Mind you I ran mufflers and kept the filter on with the head light in. Using stock radiator and fan, from what I hear those setups on sn95s are just as good as aftermarket. On the last run I changed my tune to keep the fans on all the time. Seemed to help. Also the track got greasier as the day went on and they don't VHT it.

Im running M/T Drag radials. Im thinking about putting on a tranny cooler and switching to a 160 deg thermostat. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.
