Went to tune my car on the dyno. My combo is twin 6262's with a vic jr intake and 90mm TB on e85. Motor is bone stock. I had 9psi springs in but was making 12.5 pounds. never got a chance to get a solid tune out of it. It was breaking up in high rpm while i was trying to dial in the timing and i believe the clutch might have been slipping (stock clutch). I believe it poped a head gasket though. On my last run it i smelled coolant and there was some when i pulled off the dyno. I cant tell where its coming from though. it made 420 i think if I could of got 440 out of it with a solid tune. I have some videos when i get them converted over ill try to post them

old wore out 5.0 What kind of timing do you guys run with e85 on a 5.0? I picked up 50 hp with 2 degrees of timing from 15 to 17 degrees. I started having clutch slip and the headgasket before I could get it smoothed out. It was was starting to smooth out with more timing just woundering what people run?

With e85 you will make power safely up to 21-23 degress of timing.

You should be able to make 425-450rwhp at 6-8psi on a twin setup like that....

I would drop boost and add timing.

What is your power goal? twin 62's are good for 1000rwhp.

How tired of a motor?...time to upgrade head gaskets and to put in ARP studs...Stock 5.0 isnt going to take a 1000 hp tho..lol...

motor has 165k miles on it. runs pretty good though. I would like to put some better heads on it with studs to make it worth my while. I will probably shoot for 1k hp after i get an aftermarket block motor with good heads and cam.

Yeah stock block 5.0's wouldnt handle that much HP...lol...Just do a set of TF or AFR heads with good heads gaskets and ARP studs you should be ok then..Dont know about the bottom half tho being you have that many miles on it...might last awhile.
