Wastegate piping and size question

I'm running a Boss block 331 with Trickflow 170 heads, stage 1 cam and holley systemax intake.

The turbo kit is a gen 1 Hellion Street heat with a Comp 6765 (.81 ar) oilless turbo, turbo xs bov, and Turbonetics 38mm wastegate. I am also running a Hallman manual controller.

The gate is in the driver's side of the crossover with a 7 psi spring and is piped with the barb on the outlet of the turbo running into the manual controller then to the botom part of the gate with the top vented.

The car is controlled by a Megasquirt and under full boost it is seeing 190kPa or about 29 psi.

I can hear the gate open up at around the 7-9 psi as it is vented to atmosphere also.

Is the gate hooked up right?

Is the gate too small?

What would be an adequate gate size and brand?

190kpa is not 29psi of boost. it is approximately 13psi of boost. 100kpa is considered 0 boost. it is atmospheric pressure at sea level which is 14.7 psi. anything above 100 is approximately 7kpa per psi of boost. 149kpa is 7+lbs 200kpa on megasquirt is 14.7 lbs of boost. 300 is 29.4

Take the first two kPa numbers, put a dot between them, subtract 1, and multiply times 14.7

190 kPa = 1.90 1.90 - 1 is 0.90 0.90*14.7 is 11.9 psi boost

A car that is 270 kPa is 2.7-1 = 1.7*14.7 = 24.99 psi
