Hey folks,

Got my 99 long ago and finally decided to start trying to troubleshoot the wiring problem. Odometer disappears and reappears minutes later. Been that way since I got it. Radio hasn't worked but I don't know if that's because the radio is broke or not. Ordered a known working one on eBay this morning. We shall see on that.

Biggest thing that started this whole thing was the wipers are not working. Replaced the multifunction switch. Checked fuses in fuse box. Checked fuses in engine fuse box. All the fuses are good. I have no power on any of the five terminals (don't know which one it is) going to the wiper motor when ignition and wiper switch is on.

The more I research I'm finding my odo problem and my wiper problem (and maybe my radio problem) may possibly be entertwined. Searching this forum leads me to a bad ground somewhere around the center console. One poster from long ago said follow the radio black wire. So I pull the OEM (possibly not working) radio and OEM CD player and find the black wire. It disappears into a large black OEM wrapped wire. No luck there.

I do find the mess I have pictures attached behind the radio. I believe I'm looking at some kid's great idea got awry, but I don't know if I'm looking at any OEM stuff I need to put back the way it was, and I don't know what any of it would go to, or hell, if it has anything to do with my original problem with odo/wipers/etc. I have the 460 in this 99, but radio has never worked so I've never troubleshot it past that.

Can anyone give me further steps/recommendations on radio troubleshooting (where to look next)?

Can anyone take a look at these pictures and tell me what all this rat's nest goes to or what to unwire and toss, or what needs to be kept and what it might go to?

Thanks
