Hi just ordered my on3 351 kit w/ 7875j this week and thinking what to do about the cam, go custom now or just run the Z303 this year and swap out later if its no good. What do you guys think? It should make plenty of power either way. Leaning toward keeping it and using the money for other mods like cobra steering gear, subframe connectors, etc

here is my setup, 393w, super vic efi, 10.3:1, aluminum heads 185cc, manual trans
Purpose is mainly street and some track.

Are you wanting to pull the camshaft? If not, I'd run what you already have. My custom hyd roller "turbo" camshaft, has more duration and more lift than the Z303 and it's on nearly the same LSA has the Z. I wouldn't sweat it. That cam will be just fine in your setup. I'd spend the money elsewhere especially if this is a street car.

thanks for the reply's, I did not really want to buy one unless it was a must for good driveability. There is many other things to spend money on for these cars.

Meegs, I don't have torque boxes either...

Did you end up swapping cams? I'd like to try one out and I'm semi local.

No swap, I ended up just running all last year (at most 6-700mi) and it seemed fine so its still in the car with a basic tune. To many other issue cropped up to get a lot of miles. I don't want to take it out now but will keep you mind if I do.
