When converting to an Lsx motor what trans is the best to go with? I have a 93 coupe that is a factory v8 and auto car, is there a way to keep the aod or will I be better served to go with a 4l60 or 700r4( i want to keep OD)? thanks in advance!

I would never keep an AOD...


A built 4l60e will work great for a 9 sec combo if you have a good builder. (Weve gone 9.6 @ 147 in a C5 with a 4l60e @ 3700 lb race weight)

It also fits fine in the tunnel and can be completely computer controlled with the factory harness/pcm which makes for great driveability.

I run a TH350 /w a t-brake in my notch and a th400 /w brake in my 90 LX. They both fit with a CSR trans/flex shield.
