I've searched the boards every which way possible and didn't find an answer to my questions, so here I am posting a new thread.

I am ready to buy a Steeda Tri-Ax shifter, but I have a 2001 Mustang GT and I'm not sure which tranny I have.

My car has a build date of 02/01 and the TR column reads "TK" and not just plain ole 'K'.

Does TK mean I have the T45? Or is it the unabbreviated code for the 3650 tranny? All of you say there must be a K under the TR column, but I have a TK - an extra letter.

TR=TK for my car... any ideas what tranny I have?

I beleive if it has a 6 under it you have a T-45

I think the TK is the 3650!

Thanks! I just ordered mine from partshopper.com. The fella over the phone was really nice and quite knowledgeable. He said the easiest way after receiving shipment of the shifter is to look at the bolt pattern - doh! I didn't realize they were different... he'll exchange it for the correct one if the bolts don't line up he said...

Thanks again! I can't wait til next week!

Not a problem, I am sure the above mentioned codes are right!

You will love the Tri-Ax!
