On my KB COBRA I use a Breather on my Oil Cap,,On dyno today i could see the smoke comming out.
Useing a sealed cap wouldn't that create a lot of pressure in the oil pan??
I see most guys don't use breathers. Why not?
by the way Car dynoed 403/386

You have a lot of miles on that motor, don't you Jimmy? If so then you just have some worn rings which is why it is blowing smoke. I use a breather on my car, most guys with blowers use them.
But you probably already know this stuff:D

Jimmy,

Is you PVC system still hooked up? If so, using a sealed oil cap won't be a big deal as the motor will get vented via the PVC. Thats the way my car run now, sealed oil cap and venting via the PVC into atmosphere.

Marillo said he got 10 rwhp out of his blown 99 GT by venting his valve covers. Just need to make sure the PVC and other hoses to the valve covers are closed off or metered air will vent out/in at other times.

I have both of my valve covers vented through a "Y" to a small K&N. The oil gets dirty a bit sooner because the PVC system isn;t burning it fumes anymore. But the car runs well.
