You act like if everyone made their own intake, it would bankrupt PHP. Maybe they should get a patent and you could be the patent police. Don't worry, since they are such good buddies with Ford, maybe they would bail them out!

I will step in and answer some people's question the best I can. I hate to answer about the intake b/c my car has kicked out crappy numbers prior to the intake. Anyone that can host a dyno sheet I have the before and after.

Let me CLARIFY!!! The tuner of my intake didn't add timing in the mid to low range like they should. They just added like 4 degrees across the board which isn't good. I also had no powerpipe, MAF Meter at the time. The only intake mods were PHP Stage II Intake, IMRC Deletes and Ford Oval TB.

The gains were from 256 to 275 in peak rwhp with gains superior to that throughout the curve. Then the torque went from 256 or so to 265 or so, but there is the timing issue. :barf:

Someone host the dyno and we can put this to bed.

ALLNTRL is a good guy and has been VERY helpful to me in trying to get the car tuned. No need to flame one of the best info providers on the site!!!

ALLNTRL, there is always a couple of "God Complex" weaknuts pulling stuff

Not all you guys, just the choice few!

DS97Cobra,

Thanks for the info. Can I get a copy of the dyno results (if you have them in electronic form). Mods, no other mods on the car (pulleys, k&n, gears, x/h pipe, etc...).

Thanks,

Chris Yates

On the way

On Second thought I'm leaving this open and cleaning up the mess above. Don't degrade it again, or it's toast
I agree. Sorry I had to participate, every once in a while I reach my limit on the internet "tough guy" mentality. If you can put my dyno on this post I will be glad to include it and add some useful info to this post

Thanks for chiming in and providing the details/data regarding your experience with the PHP intake. If you send me your data (100 rpm increments), I'll add it to the other data I posted above. If so, please also include the datails of your mods.

My car had the PHP setup with IMRC and tb along with Bassani X w/ cats. Pretty sad huh!!!

I didn't have the ProM, Powerpipe, headers, setup like the other guys may have. I also didn't have a properly setup chip which I hope to remedy soon. If I do I will post any dyno numbers if I have them. (May get reburned by mail)

Thanks for posting the result, even thought you haven't gotten the tune completely sorted out yet.

You may want to consider getting an EEC Tuner for your car. Chris98Vobra (in Austin) can get you set-up with one and tune your car for you. The tuner will allow you (or your local tuner) to make changes very conveniently. It's by far the best $350 I've spent for my car, especially because I've been playing with various intake/IMRC set-ups. While I'm no tuning expert, I've gotten pretty proficient with the Tuner after starting on my intake project (adjusting timing tables, OL fuel tables, WOT fuel, manifold volume, turning off egr, etc.).

Thanks again.

Anyone dyno tested PHP's ported intake that they sell? Or any other ported intake? A quick search didn't really turn up many results, at least not what I was looking for.

If most of the power is to be made with the IMRC delete and a good tune, I wonder if anyone has just gotten the ported intake and how it worked.
