Finally I had to put all these Damn dots in here:mad: The avgs. show how 99 up cars perform with bolt ons and how us 96-98 guys can kill them(most anyway)Both cars have similiar mods but my 98;) has the heads ported,but no long tubes yet.Both cars compression are similiar, mine is 9.25-9.5.Thought this might help with people who are thinkin about mods for their cars.Also those with 99 up should be the same as mine if they port the heads 20hp or so.My car ran a 8.5 in the 1/8 last night at 3750lbs with a 1.81 short time.Hope this might help someone.

I said most 99up cars,not yours.You the man me still the boy,I did go to clearwater last night its only 1/8 hooks good but dont have the money for a new rearend yet so still launchin low 4500 and the car stills weighs alot,but no excuses right!If your ever comin this way wouldnt mind mettin you and your car and we can race like to see how close we are.I wont use my juice;) ,all motor I promise.I see Bills in fl. too If you all want to run in Brandenton or clearwater let me know like to meet you all.But 96-98 owners have takin alot of junk for years about how slow they are....Just glad to help others from the older gen. be respectable.I havent been beat on the street from a new gt yet,but you and bill have two great hookin cars to get the times you get..Nothin but props for you two.

Forgot to say in this thread that I will do another thread in a day or two with two cars similiar mods with two diff. cams,from two diff. companys.Hopefully it dont take me as long this time and my daughter wont erase it:mad: .LATER

VETKILR: you say you are running 9.25 compression in your 98 with PI heads? That is what I am going to run since I am supercharged but it doesn't seem like you lost any RWHP by lowering compressio.......did you?

I dont know,but I would of left a little more of the swirl dam,its all the way out.Port work is awesome!My torque stayed the same down low and my hp goes flat at 4700 to redline,maybe more comp. would of got me more:confused:

Very nice chart, thanks for taking the time to post it up here.
Makes me feel real warm and fuzzy inside about ordering the headswap if Shannan ever gets caught up.

BTW: Your 1/8 mile time extrapolates to about a 13.3 in the 1/4! Are you running slicks or d/r's?

Good numbers!

I lost the timeslip back a couple of months ago, but am trying to find it online somewhere to measure my 1/8/. I ran two mid 13.20's the same night and then a 13.19 with the car cooled and the weather had cooled down another 10 degrees.(45 for the 13.19 pass). My sixty foots were all right at 1.90 with nittos. My trap speed kept getting higher with a high 103, then two 104's. I would guess that I am making around the same numbers as your car. These passes were done with no passenger seat, but everything else on the car was on.

Is there somehting wrong with that bullet? I thought that they dyno about 230 stock and all them mods only added 20 rwhp that is vwery sad. Almost makes you think about not going thru the trouble for LT headers.

vetkilr, very nice numbers!:) I'll be very happy if I see numbers like that when mine is completed.

I have a question for ya. I didn't mess with the swirl dam's at all. Does that mean my compression will be higher? If so, how high? Thanks

Those swirl dams are the biggest diff. I see between the svo and the 99 up heads so I took them out to be similiar to the svo heads.Your comp. with the swirl dams in will be at 10-10.25 removing them gets you 9.25-9.5.
pwrhungry: remember all cars are diff. those mods will add up with futher mods.Your power only comes up when you lesson restriction or lower weight.With a poweradder the numbers go up.
Ive run a 13.4 in the 1/4 with a 1.83 60 time.I drive it so that it will make it home no powershiftin.My car weighs 3700-3800lbs.Pretty heavy but it beats most 5.0 and cobras down here unless they are supercharged.But I do have nitrous;) for emergencys.

Hello,
I just put a BULLITT intake on my 02 GT. So i was interested in your post. Under the Bullitt you claim a 70mm TB? Bullitts have dual 57mm TBs. A local mechanic dynoed a Bullitt w/ BBK LTs and he claimed 300 HP at the RW.
Mine only has 200 mi on it and it has better top end than the stock 70mm TB plastic intake set up. Do you mean Bullit or GT?
