Does anyone happen to have any information on the rear axle set up that the T1 Saleen mustang race cars had from 1994-1998. I'm curious if the rules made them run a stock style 4-link, or if they were allowed to use torque-arms, parallel 4-links or IRS.

I am very curious about this, because a solid axle Mustang beating an Acura NSX and Porsche 911 turbo is no small feat.

This link is a video of the Saleen T1 Mustang in the original post. The car hauls ass, and I've never seen a Mustang put such a beat down on every car on the track. Now, the Driver has a lot to do with that, but the Mustang held its own. Which is exactly why I'm curious about the rear suspension set up. I'm sure the front is an SLA set up.

I dont know but I would guess that is a tube chasis car and the underpinnings and engine resemble nothing on the 1999 production Mustangs. I too would like to hear about it though. Bump up
