I ordered the mustang new from the dealer and took possession in September ’99 (one of the first 2000s released). It was my only car while in grad school but I used alternative transportation to school (2000 thru 2005) and so was driven only sporadically and to/from track and autocrossing. Between 2008 and 2013, car was stored and has been driven on the street only since then. Has been garage stored its entire life.

Modified the chasis and suspension for cornering and track use. Autocrossed in various series through SCCA and other organizations and consistently won 1st place in modified street legal classes. Participated in and instructed at “Track Days” both at Pacific Raceway and Portland Internal Raceway with various clubs including Shelby, Mustang, Alfa and Porsche/BMW in the early 2000s.

Supercharger was installed at ~11k miles, and was recently dyno tuned by Brad’s Custom Auto to improve drivability. Currently, with the new radiator, fuel pumps and ECU tune, the car is running great and makes just over 400/400 rear wheel power.

This car is amazing to drive. Puts a smile on your face every time you step on the gas. And it actually corners on rails, which is an oxymorone for a live axle mustang, until to you hang the tail out. I love owning this car, but recently picked up a VW Golf R with 4-dr and DSG so the wife can drive it too. So it is time for the mustang to find a new home.
