I have a cluncking noise when driving the car and when backing up. I think the steering shaft is hitting the Mac Longtube header. Can the steering shaft be modified? What else could be making a clunking noise like something being hit against metal.

Could it just be one of the headers bumping the underpan of the car? I had some clearance issues originally on my GT when I swapped in the off-road h-pipe, and that caused a clunking sometimes as well as a vibration, until I fit the exhaust better.

I dont think that the headers are hitting anywhere, at least not from what I can tell. They seem to have some distance from the body and the clunking is coming from directly in front of the driver. I just dont know what else it could be.
