I am looking to get a a set of slicks for for my car and wonder what y'all run.
Its a 5spd 4.10 gears and I primarily like to run 1/4 mile.
I currently am running a 275/60 MT radial on a 10" wheel which is close to 28"
Thinking about maybe going with a 26" tire and maybe a 8" wheel?

26x10 stiff sidewall and 10in rim... That will get the whole contact patch of the slick on the track surface

You want a BIAS PLY / stiff sidewall drag slick. Radial slicks bounce back when the radial sidewalls recover from the initial hit. Not that it can’t be suspension or clutch tuned to make the radial work, but it’s not something for beginners. And I’ve been racing a stick car a long time and I don’t even want to take on that challenge!
Drag slicks are noted in the catalogs if they have stiff sidewalls.
Stephen has the right idea on the slicks and wheel.
