Just woundering,
Anyone out there with just minor modifications
in their 5spd Fox Body have any suggestions on where to shift? Do you get more power by shifting a red line or earlier?
Thanks
Richie

stock longblock? (stock heads,cam,intake?)

5000-5200--- actual. factory tachs are known to read a little high.

You'll prob. want to experiment a lil bit, but don't shift at actual redline... stock intake and head run out of breath far before then..... To see how optimistic the factory tach is plug your cars specs into gear/speed/rpm calculator in the tech section.... pic a mph that should be something like 4000 or 5000 rpms.... cruise at that speed and see where the tach actually falls.... I'm not sure if it's a proportional amount that the tach is off or a set number of RPMs... my tach really sucks so i shift by ear and mph...
