I am starting to trade the 4.6 in my 97 Thunderbird for a 2000 Mustang GT 4.6 and I was wondering if any gaskets can be reused. Specifically, I need to change the front cover and oil pan but have to remove the valve covers to do so. So can the oil pan and valve cover gaskets be reused? I will assume I need new timing chain cover and exhaust manifold gaskets and I will replace the vibration damper seal as a precaution. Thanks for any info.

You could prolly get away with re-using the timing chain cover (comes in three pieces), however, I don't recommend it. Also if you have it opened, I'd recommend replacing the chains as well if it has over 60k miles.

I think it would be $$$ well spent on the few $$$'s that you spend if you just go ahead and get new gaskets, but that is my opinion only for what it's worth.
