Friday 17 April marked my last working day in the Army my last official day will be 30 June I'm currently on permissive TDY for a bit then will start my terminal leave, ending of an era for me and my family after 22 plus years. I feel so bittersweet heading into retirement, happy for the life we've lived and sad to see this chapter end. At the same time, I am excited for what lies ahead. They say that you know when it's time to move on and retire from the Army. It's true. I have been ready for this for quite a while.

Old Paratroopers are good to the last drop.

Consider getting a job with the US govt. (USAJOBS.gov) You'll have all sorts of advantages with your veteran status.

Congratulations Chris, I understand first hand. Retired myself in 08 after 22 years. The first year is the hardest, after that, you never look back....lol.
