ok im planning the rear set up for my drag car. little about the car.. 347 stroker, gonna be running a lot of boost through a c4 with a transbreak. the motor was built for intentions of 600 horse but i have a feeling its going to be more in the 700+ range. anyway at the moment the rear suspension is sitting compltly stock and i dont know where to start. i plan on useing the stock 8.8 (built of corse but dont know weather or not to mini tub and convert to a coil over setup. its thats the route i need some insite on what parts will be needed.. hoping for 9sec pass's thanks -fox

Wolfe Racecraft, Team Z, UPR, Baseline are all good. They can set you up with anything you might need.

You're going to get a million opinions about who's is the best, but they all work well.

As far as needing to mini tub the car. That all depends on what size tire you think you need to run. a 10 by 28 tire will fit, but a 30 will need some work!

I've been in the 9.30's with a non mini-tubbed, non-coil over set up. With a 28X10.50 slick on a 15 X 10 w/ 6.5" back spacing. So as to "requiring" a mini tub, that's not the case.

Yeah anyone of the major companies can help you out. I run Baseline, Team Z, and Racecraft suspension parts and they are all great!

Go check out Kevin$'s website, www.baselinesuspensions.com a lot of good info there and good products.

My rear setup is mild at the moment:
Strange 10 way shocks, stock GT springs with airbags
Steeda double adjustable uppers
Granatelli adjustable length weight jacker lowers (going away soon)
Stock sway bar still on, quad shocks removed.

I've been 1.45 in the sixty with adjustable uppers and stock lowers though with the old 347 on a 75 shot and 4200ish stall.

I would use wolfe or team z and with that power level I would do the mini tub and run a 325/50/15 or equivalent tire and a 15/10 wheel with a 6.5" bs when buying the lower control arms buy the offset arms if you do the mini tub it will give you more tire clearance . As for the coil over kit look here at there shoot out kit that is what I am using http://www.autoweldchassis.com/newprod.ivnu . You can go here to see my car and what I have done so far http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2474570

I did all the work but welding on the car and I took the rear to a local shop after getting all the parts together except for the axles and had the shop do all the fab work then took the rear to have it sand blasted and powder coated then back to the shop to have the diff , gear and axles installed . If you have any other questions send me a pm .

I run a megabite jr lower, metco upper, a UPR anti roll bar, and it works. I run low 1.4's on 275/60 radials, leaving on the bottle.

Mine is a fairly cheap and simple combo, but its hard to argue with a combo on a street car that runs 1.40's on a small radial.
