Went to the local track last night, Midamerica Motorplex (1/8th mile), to take advantage of low 70/high 60 temps and try and get some clean runs in. First off, car is a 91 GT Auto with minor bolt ons (MAF,CAI, TB, Intake, Pullies), 4.10s, and 150 shot. The car has not been hooking worth a damn with the 275 Nitto drags, so I took them down to 16psi and burned the hell out of em. Lucky for me, their was also an NHRA event last night so the track prep was a lot better then normal. Results:

60' -- 1.785
330' -- 5.257
1/8 -- 8.15
MRH -- 85.81

I am pretty sure that it right around all she has with her current set up, but I still have parts to throw on. This makes me wonder what I can get this car to run after I replace the stock heads with ported GT40s, the stock cam with an E303, and a 3k stall. If I ran 8.1s with the stock converter/heads/cam...what do you guys think I can run with the new stuff?

Your car is about a carbon copy of mine. I have an Edelbrock Performer intake. Mine is also speed density. I ran mine on street tires though. Also, running a 05115 NOS dry kit, running a .059 jet and bottle pressure on this run was only 800psi, I figured maybe a 110 shot or so was all I was running.
My best is:

60'----2.112
330'---5.460
660'---8.228
MPH---89.94
Car went 8.82 @ 81.22 on motor with a 2.10 60'...
Just thought you'd like a comparison...

Later.

Its always nice to have a comparrison. How did you pull an 8.8 on motor? The best I ran on motor was 9.4. I was running 8.6s - 8.85s with a 75 shot.

Here is a complete list of what I have:
1991 Mustang GT (302) with AOD
Moroso CAI
Pro-M 75mm MAF
65mm TB
FRPP Cobra Intake

Get some good drag radials and a quality 3500-3800 stall converter with lockup. You will be able to get on the NOS faster and get the 60s down in the low 1.60s to high 1.50s.
