With General Mustang Tech having been moved down to the General Tech Section it has become obvious that 5.0/5.8 Engine Tech is being mistaken for anything related to 5.0 and 5.8 powered Mustangs in general. I’m reminding you all that this particular forum is for the 5.0/5.8 WINDSOR ENGINE ONLY as this particular forum’s title states. This also includes 255 and 289s. Heads, intakes, pistons, rods, oil pans, crankshaft, etc., etc. is what I'm specifying here. ANYTHING NOT RELATED TO THE 5.0/5.8 WINDSOR ENGINE DOES NOT BELONG IN THIS FORUM. Flywheels / flexplates, clutches, pilot bearings, brakes, gauges, steering wheel, lower / upper control arms, light bulbs, external lights, wiring throughout the body of the car or not related to the motor are General Tech-related subjects and for a few of those subjects there are forums specifically for your topics. Wheels & Tires and 2.3L Tech to name a couple. Check first to see if there is a forum specific to your topic if you don’t know before hand.

Also, what is NOT related to the 5.0/5.8 engine & other TECH forums are topics reference to a business and/or its practices/customer service and/or reputation. “Has anyone ever bought from or done business such’n’such?“ Those topics are Lounge material as there is no tech in threads of the sort.

What's It Worth?
These threads are not technical and are viewed as thinly veiled attempts to hock your stuff in the tech sections rather than post up in the Classifieds (intentionally or unintentionally). They will be closed and/or deleted.

Buyer or Seller’s Feedback
There is a forum to post a Corraler’s feedback. Many times people feel he/she is being screwed over on a deal and become so upset he/she feels the need to post in whatever forum “BEWARE OF XXXX = SCAMMER!!!” If the person is a Corraler, then post about the other party in the Classifieds Feedback Forum after you‘ve given up on the matter and not before the matter is resolved (if that ever happens for you). If the problem is with a business or someone from another site and you feel the need to let other’s know, post it in the Lounge.

Ebay links. Ebay auctions are often linked to show as an example for whatever topic in the tech forums. Please keep in mind that Ebay auctions are gone 90 days after they end and those links provided in posts become invalid (meaning they won't be visible anymore). These same posts linger permanently in the database. These, along with double posts, clutter up the database needlessly.

For those of you who do not post often (this goes for you new people, too), please, please, PLEASE, do NOT post the same thread in more than one forum. This also clutters up the database needlessly. Post your topic in the appropriate forum. Be patient if you can. If you’re not sure where a particular subject goes, then please PM a moderator or administrator. Many of you who do this use the excuse “there’s more people in this forum so this stands a better chance of being seen more/answered sooner.” That’s a big NO! Keep in mind that it is very inconsiderate being that we try to keep the topics organized by forum subject. It’s easier to find the subjects more related to what you are looking for if you help us out on this matter.

I ask fellow Corralers to please report any threads/posts that do not belong in this forum or are out of hand so it can be dealt with accordingly as soon as you can. Even if the thread is from 2001 and not on topic with this forum the moderators can take care of it if and when notified.

Many of you like to bookmark a thread by just replying with "Subscribing!". Please do not do this. Look at the top of the thread and drag down the "Thread Tools" link and just click on Subscribe To This Thread. Again, replying with "subscribing" just adds to the needless clutter of the database.
