Apparently OS Giken makes a diff for the Ford 8.8 IRS.

I heard that the IRS diff and the C-clip diff (that we use) have the same dimensions, and that the 8.8 IRS diff can be used in our NON-IRS rears if you weld on 9" ends to eliminate the need for C-clips.

Is this true? Jack, do you know?

Well anyone???

Did some searching and so far came up with this:

- The IRS diff can use ring and pinion gears from the straight axle 8.8 diff.

- The carrier bearings and pinion bearings are the same.

A lot of the parts are the exact same between the IRS and the SRA 8.8" including most aftermarket diffs. If you are looking for Jack Hidley, you could send him a PM or email him via MM's website.
