I e-mailed AJE about this, but I thought I would take a shot here first to see if I could get an answer.

I have an older style AJE K-Member. It does not have the bolt in pads/perches for the motor mounts. It has permanent perches with two different slots for the motor mount bolts to slide into. Does anyone know if this K-Member can be used for swaps, or if I need to upgrade to the new design if I want to do a swap?

Sounds like that is an engine specific kmember. If it is, I think you can be in the modular (SBF, BBF, 2.3, SBC, etc) for about $350. That includes the upper spring perches you'll need unless running coil overs.

we used a D&D k member for a 5.o and used 4.6 motor mounts to bolt up are LS2

I will be trying to do the same thing with a Mod motor AJE Kmem in a fairmont with a 5.3
