My friend has a 97 GT that has been sitting for 5 years. Yesterday, I was over his house and we were going to try to get it running again. He bought a new Motorcraft battery from Ford and we dropped it in (there was no battery in the car before we dropped in the Motorcraft).
Brand new battery (tested it at AutoZone) and there is zero power. No interior lights, no horn etc.
I'm assuming something is corroded somewhere. We lost daylight yesterday and didn't figure it out.
Are we missing something stupid?

Battery ground cables must be clean and tight ,
Battery positive cables must also be clean and tight .
Are you sure you have the cables on the proper post ?

You have lots of power

You stated the battery was tested good

What you are missing is complete circuits
