Okay I have a few questions concerning my build.
1. What kinda oil pressure have you guys been seeing.
I run a melling high volume pump 25 idle 55 light load hot 5w30 synthetic for breaking it in. Is this normal? Does having a Turbo -4 line give lower oil pressure? Should I run a restriction on the Turbo? Journal On3 76 Turbo.
So I guess my question is what are you guys seeing for Oil pressure?
Are those oil pressures above safe for 9 second passes.
Is there a better pump that I should look into? Any suggestions?
I checked oil filter and oil after a couple moderate load rides. No debris whatsoever when I cut filter open and drained oil. Im running a fh1a with the on3 headers.
Rod clearance. 002

I just built a 347 with a 78mm on it. Run the same oil pump and it has 25-27psi hot at idle and about 55psi under power. It has 25w50 oil in it.

I have a -4 oil feed to the turbo and it does have a restrictor

What size restrictors? And is it a journal or bb Turbo?
Guy at melling said 20w50 is kinda thick to run up in Ohio. He said a good synthetic 15-40for or 10w40 is good. Thick oiler and turbos don't mix. A good synthetic will hold up just as good and thinner will help flow. That hv pump flows 6-7 gallon a minute wide open
