I finally got to the track for the first time. It's actually a good time
there everyone is cool with everyone there. This is one of 3 passes i made I was wondering if someone could explain what all this stuff meant? Some people said I need to just worry about what my 60 time is, I dont know enough to sya different so I turn to my fellow pony owners. Thanks
I can't figure out how to post a pic of the slip but I can email it or
write it all for you guys let me know which is easier.

No I actually didnt hit the brakes! :) It was my second run my first was 14.46 cause I had no idea what i was doing too bust watching what everyone else was doing. My 2nd was 13.91 my third 14.50 and I probably would have done better but being new I didnt realize i could stage with only one light on I backed up to get both on and the lights went to green! Looking at the slips I dont know why that mph is so high all the rest are aroung 60-80 mph. Traction I think was the biggest problem I had street tires on and had them deflated to about 18 psi.

Nice light! .593 is dang good...Good run though for your first time...the best I could do is 14.06 on the 3rd run of my 1st time to the track...Practice makes perfect though...Street tires actually work a little better with higher pressures from what I've seen cause that gives a better contact patch...DR's can be deflated like that though...Get yourself some of those!

BTW, I think the speed sensors were a little off at the 1/8th :D At least you had sensors...my 2 runs the 1st time I went had the 330 and 1000 sensors bad...

r/t=is your reaction time. The time between when the green light comes on and your car leaves the line.
60=is your 60 foot time. This is a good measure of how much traction that you have.
330=is your 330 foot time.
1/8=is your 1/8 mile time
mph=is your 1/8 mile speed.
1000=is your 1000 foot time.

On street tires, 60' times are usually around 2.0-2.2...lower if you are a better driver...Lots of spin is the nemisis of the 60' time...better traction such as drag radials help out your 60 foots...

And .500 R/T is the best you can get without red-lighting on a non-pro tree (where the yellows come on one at at time) so your .593 is pretty good...On a pro-tree, like top fuel uses, where all the yellows come on at the same time, the best you can get without redlighting is .400
