I have a 91 notch that is Emerald green which I'm not a fan of. At the moment I'm working on repainting the car and have started removing the front clip. Next I'm removing the doors and quarter Windows. Luckily there isn't a spec of rust on the car and only minor dings here and there.

I'm looking for the best method to have a quality respray on my car with the benefit of changing colors in the future. I am at the point where I'm beginning to consider painting the engine bay, frame, and interior metal in por 15. While leaving just the portion of the door Jam and trunk jam whatever color I decide.

Has anyone ever done this? Is there any particular reasons why I shouldn't? I feel it will look good with the benefit of rust and element protection.
