Well - I guess I don't know what you are asking. All the wires you need to get the MSD up and running are at the coil. The easy way to do it is to buy the harness for the car but I guess you could cut the factory harness if you were so inclined. The MSD harness is only like $15 and your local Checker / Kragen should have it in stock. Another nice thing about the MSD harness is that it's a no-brainer to hook up - color to color.
The tach lead on the MSD box is so you can hook up your monster tach or whatever.
I haven't installed mine on my '95 yet (I'm thinking of getting a HI6 instead), but I'll either mount it in the inner fender on the driver's side, or mount it inside the car.
If this helps- I saw a picture of an MSD part ( # unknown ) that fits the 96-98 cars. It is a bracket that fits on the Strut Tower Brace, at the back near the firewall. It sits the box facing the sky as if you sat it on a table. I dont know if this would work on our cars but it looks very clean.
I have a 01 gt Only had the car about a month. I installed a new ac compressor and if I hook direct power to it clutch will cycle but it will not cycle on it’s own. A friend vacuumed it for me and filled it enough so it should cycle. My scan tool says the wot cutoff is on all other functions...
Anyone use this stuff for heat defense on their TFI? A buddy who builds computers recommended this over Arctic Silver. Any tips on applying it to TFI as well? Never had a problem, but I wanna protect against future issues. I realize relocating it would be best, however, I really don’t want to...
Still trying to figure out why my car won't start after it sits for a few days.
I have a video here
I'm not sure if this current draw is enough to kill the battery... not sure why it starts high and then slowly goes down (it would go down to zero if I waited long enough).
The second part is...
Hello! I am doing a 3G Alt swap and adding contour fans to my 89 coupe. Do I need to run a separate power wires for the Alt and the fan or can I run a 4 gauge from the drivers side positive to a junction on the passenger side. At the junction feed the Alt and the fan with separate lines?
