Am thinking about doing this. Keep in mind this is my first rodeo and I don't have a lift. Wondering if it is easier to do so with a running 4 cylinder car and then do the swap or just find a roller that has nothing but a rolling chasis and then go from there.

Goal would be to have a drag strip car, not a street car. So no AC. Probably can do without Power Steering. Would still like Power Brakes though.

Got a friend that knows the LS engines, but I can't expect him to do it all.

Is this stuff that can be done with some research or not? I know I cannot wire or weld anything. Don't want to deal with that. Just thinking of hooking up a suspension, brakes, tranny, motor, etc.

Any advice?

I started my swap with a running 4 cylinder. I say try to start with that cause it will have all the wiring for the car as far as lights, power windows, fuel pump. That way you don't have to run new wires for those items.
