Maximum Motor sports rear lower control arms (adjustable)
Maximum Motor sports full-length sub-frame connectors
Maximum Motor sports strut tower brace
HPM caster/camber plates.
Koni Double adjustable struts
GMS front coil-overs
H&R springs in back

Trying to figure out if this will be good for AutoX b/c i'm thinking of getting a car with all this stuff and turning it into my AX car.

Craig, I think you were at the Sat 8/20 SCCA practice day in Ft. Pierce weren't you? I was there in my '05 STi in ESP. How did you do? Did you go back on Sunday? I was roasted...so decided to skip it.

Yeah...that's me. I guess I did okay on Saturday. I got killed on Sunday. It's hard to be decent in a foxbody Mustang in SM or even overall. I am there to just have fun, though.

I noticed all of the STi's were absent on Sunday. Sunday's course was fast. Everyone seemed to do well.

will it be better than say a IRS cobra?
That's hard to say without more information. Like maybe...what kind of car you are looking at. Besides a car's handling is dependent on more than the sum of the Brand Name parts installed. Spring rates, sway bars, shock settings, gearing, tire/wheel selection all come into play. You have what may be a decent starting point (although I am not very fond of GMS stuff) so there is potential; IF you set it up correctly and IF you learn to drive it. You would still need to do something about the quadrabind rear suspension if you want to handle better than a well set up IRS Cobra.

its an optionless notch (prob 2900 pounds tops), 275/40/17 rear tires, 255/40/17 fronts
It also has a larger rear sway bar (possibly larger front too)
The front suspension is pretty stiff
has 3.27 gears....i know :(

Better than an IRS Cobra? Probably not quite...
I agree, with sticky tires and equal drivers I think a stock IRS Cobra would eat the Fox coupe for lunch. The Cobra has better power, stronger brakes, better F to R balance, better suspension geometry and a much stiffer chassis.

With an upgrade to a 3 link or torque arm and a good K-member I would give the nod to the Fox coupe. You might even do it with just a panhard bar, upgraded brakes and a few engine bolt-ons if you have some good stiff springs and the right sway bars.
