I have the chance of buying a complete 2001 engine for $700 from a friend who had his car totaled. Only problem with it is the crank is broken, I think thats wrong anyways. The heads have no damage, should I have any problem puttin them on my car? also how much would a stock crank cost? Might just fix it and put the whole engine in my car. Any suggestions?

Dude get that engine , check everything out to see what all is broken. I mean at worst you will still get to put the 2001 GT heads on your 97. Youd be stupid to waste time getting that engine. Trust me your car will love those heads.

Dude, that is a deal I wouldn't pass up. Just the heads off that bugger is worth it. Just send the heads off to get them port/polished and get a high performance cam installed. You should see massive performance gains.
