I hooked up a vortech t-rex inline fuel pump. when wiring the pump. it didn't show a positive or negative when hooking up the terminals on the pump. is it possible to hook it up wrong?

thanks Jeff

fred thanks for the pic. I think mine is hooked up wrong. can you tell from the pic I just took of mine if it is right or wrong?

If the pos & neg are reversed. what effect would that have?

It is abnormally loud. around 3k rpm the car feels like it is starving for fuel. It isn't tuned yet but I never had one act like this.

thanks Jeff

I dunno if it matters. But yours is hooked opposite mine. T-rex's are loud pumps. You oughta hear it without rubber isolators.

fwiw- When I was using the t-rex I mounted it on the verticle side of the spare tire well. Above where you have yours and off to one side a little bit. Reason is if that rearend come up into the car under a hard launch, it could or will hit the tire well with that T/A cover. Mine did.

I'm guessing wiring it backwards would make it pump in the wrong direction. So, it is a restriction to your fuel.
