Im looking for what can help my initial steering response. When i first go into a turn it feels sloppy but then holds properly. Everything is tight in front end, just wondering what will help this problem. Its been a while since i had fox body and have had 98 and 06 GT since then and were much better.

Most of the cases it's the rack. People say that steering shaft is supposed to help, but if you move the steering wheel with in play, and you see no play in the shaft, it's most likely the rack itself. I have same problem on my 94, even though it's barely noticeable. Kinda annoying, knowing that my Nissan Frontier has a better steering response.

Does this occur for both left and right turns?

Maybe look into putting a bit of toe out on each spindle.

How much negative camber do you have at ride height?
