First page of the Lounge has threads from January of this year. I wonder how many don't come around because of some god awful and unable to remember a long ass password. I know I have to reset mine every time I come over here. . . just one more nail in the coffin of the corral.

its not just this forum, but rather many of them that are feeling the effects of facecrook and other socialist media.

I remember back in the day it was nothing abnormal to log on and see over 300 members viewing just the 5.0/5.8 engine tech forum. Close to the same for general tech. Its went downhill big time.

I had not logged in for years. The new password requirements were a big surprise. My secure password to access work files is simple compared to my new Corral password. :livid:

I'm also wondering if anyone buys a mustang to modify it anymore.
When I joined, people were buying new mustangs and immediately installing twin turbos in their own garage while the fox guys fumed "For the cost of a new car you could buy a fox and a blown 351".

Nowadays there doesn't seem to be that "dive in with both feet" approach.

... and in these days of cyber nutjobs, a safe pwd is a great idea.

Maybe the "Fox" has been burned out...because Corral was geared towards the original 5.0 movement and anything and everything that one could do to a Fox has been done 1,000x over and over. Plus, there's unique or specialized Mustang forums now. For instance, I don't post on here all that much because my S550 has its own forum with tons of activity, tech, parts to purchase, etc... whereas on this site, there's like 3 posts per month regarding anything S550... lmao

This site needs a re-do for sure... hell half the sub-forums have Mods listed that probably no longer care that they were a Mod and probably don't even log into the site.

I am still very new (to the car and the forum), but I peruse all the Mustang forums out there and have joined 2 so far. Love all the info here, but the ads do suck. I've had to close the tab out when I hear my CPU fan throttling up way high.

With facebook, mustang forums are reverting back to the core that initially made it great. The only problem is that they are only being used for tech and parts sales, all the social activity is on facebook and their smartphones. It sucks, I ####ing hate the endless scroll, younger folks love it.

I'm on Facebook for other things, and it completely sucks. You can't search, and therefore, it's a useless forum for cumulative information. Over the years, I've made it a habit to fully type out my posts because forums often don't return results for only 2-3 characters. With all the acronyms and short names for things, it makes it impossible to find the info needed. "Search noob" goes from a simple answer to someone spending countless hours trying to find that simple answer. With all the knowledge amassed here, and elsewhere, it's a shame.
