Has anyone drilled and tapped the Vortech discharge tube on the non-intercooled V-3 kit for the 05-10 4.6L 3V? It seems most people install the IAT into the plastic intake manifold runners. I figure the discharge tube leading to the TB is a better option since if I screw that up, I can plug it/weld it or buy a new tube versus buying a new intake manifold?? Is there enough meat on that discharge tube to take the Lightning IAT? Do I just use a 3/8-NPT tap?
