Just curious how everyone is doing so far this season whether its local events, regional, national, auto-x, tricycle racing, etc.

I'm hanging in there at 19 of 113 in points locally. Currently running ESP on street tires along with everyone else.

Not really in any points race, just trying to re-learn to drive the car and break my 4 years of "habbit driving".

Frustrating at times, but i'm having fun nontheless.

Only autocross's so far with the new suspension, and my first track day is coming up 5/23 so that should really breathe life back into me.

I don't even know how our points are calculated, i just happened to notice where I was standing yesterday.

so you are about to do the first track day with the new front suspension? Let us know how that goes.

It isn't. The car is apart gettting the head and intake gaskets replaced in a faint hope of curing a "gunk in the radiator" problem that's been plaguing it for a couple of years. I will be attending a SoloPro school on the 23rd-24th as my first event so I'll see how it goes then. I will be needing new street tires soon....Mustangs are hard on tires for the distance I've put on this 'bucket. :blam:

The instructing bit is going well. I've just started instructing for NASA (exas Region,) in addition to my instructing gig at the TWS Perfirmance Driving School. I've also been teaching the classroom sessions at TWS.

Racing has been a little slow. The car is apart, halfway through a head swap. Plans are to get it together in the next week or so, and have a shake-down ruln at TWS at the end of the month. The next NASA race for me will be in June at Hallett -- one of my favorite tracks!

No points stuff here. I have driven only 2 days this year, at the 45th mustang event. Will do a NASA event in a couple of weeks and then not run until Dec. Going to take a few months to work on my track car.

I'm assuming you'll be running with NASA SE? Say to Eric Kaemfer for me. Eric and I officiate at the NASA nationials every year.

This is my first real season I guess. I even got the old man to come out last event and ride with me. He had a blast. I'm having fun and not getting too serious. Maybe in a couple of years I'll get a class competitive car and r-comps and see what I can do. In the meantime I've got lots to learn and a lot of fun to have. Occasionally beating people who are in better cars make me feel good too. I've got 5 or 6 events in already this year and even one trip to the dragstrip (my first). So far so good.

My season is going well. I've entered in 6 events and have 1 event win and 3 other podium finishes in fields of 4-6 cars. This was all done on a super soft 325lb/in front and 250lb/in rear setup. I'm currently second in season points. Just installed MM race valved dampers and 450lb/in fronts and 350lb/in rears along with a softer front sway bar. I'm really excited to test out the new equipment and see how I stack up against the competition. The major weak point in my car is power. In TTS I could have 400rwhp with no limit on torque and still be legal. Still having a blast though!

I missed by about half a second from moving into a tie for first in the season point totals for my Time Trial class. The top 3 cars were less than a second apart. The 2 guys above me were laughing at lunchtime how 2 years ago they ran the whole season and there total times were less than a second apart. The rest of this season is going to be fun!

Do you TT with NASA? I don't remember a green cobra in TT this year.

No, one of my clubs, NCRC, has time trials. I'm not up in the big leagues with you. I've been meaning to try running NASA, just haven't got around to it yet.
