What do you mean by run larger? I had 28x11.50x15 et streets that were actually only about 27.5inches tall, and were less than 9" tread width and 11.3 cross section. My current QTP's are 27x10.50x15 and are actually about 27.5 inches tall and have over 9" tread width with a narrower 10.5 cross section. cross section could be considered the "buldge factor". The QTP's fit better on my car and hook better also. I really like them. I had both of the tires on 8" draglites with 5.5" back space.
Same size, 28x11.50x15, in both tires, the QTP's are a hair wider cross section 11.5 to 11.1 for the MT's. The QTP's have 10" tread vs 8.6 for the MT's.
Like I said above, my 27x10.50x15 QTP's have 10.6 cross section (narrow) with 9" tread and measure out the same diameter as the 28x11.50x15 MT's. Advertised heights are aproximate, each QTP is measured for circumference so they can sell them in "matched sets". Mine were marked 87".
