Picked up some DDMTuning LED headlamps and quite happy with their performance in a couple of other vehicles, but want to retrofit them into my '89 Fox. Looks like the stock headlamp locking collar, the round cylindrical collar that locks the stock 9004 bulb into the housing, is not wide enough to accomodate the LED bulb housing. Curious if anyone else has encountered this and what the workaround, short of 3D printing a new collar.

On mine there is a set screw that has to be removed. That allows the bulb to separated into 2 pcs then the collar can fit over and reassembled.

I ended up belt sending my collars until they were short enough to clear the protruding end of the bulbs. Seems to be working out so far.
