Looking to purchase a set of slicks for my coupe. Either a 28x11-15 Goodyear D-3 compound or M/T ET Drag 28x10.5W-15 M5 compound. The Goodyears are $66 cheaper for a set. Do they both have about the same life? Traction?

The guy that did my cylinder heads used to race a B/SM NHRA car and swears the Goodyears are the better tire, but the M/T's are very popular and usually a little bit cheaper. Why would you not go with a Goodyear 10.5w ?The 10.5w size is usually more expensive, but I think there is alot more developement in that tire.

Yeah i got confused on Summit's site. The Goodyear 10.5 is the one i priced. I just noticed they have the 10.5W. It's $30 more. Which makes the price equal between the M/T and the Goodyears. But M/T has a $50 Rebate deal going on till the end of the month, so that makes them cheaper.... I'll probably go with the M/T's.
