I am looking for a good way to cut the fender wells out. I am getting a set of 25X13X16 goodyear tires and they will not be able to fit when I get them. I will have to cut the fenders. Please let me know.

Thanks,

Going CP eh?
I did mine with a plasma cutter and a mig welder. Some 1/4 inch rod makes a nice lip.
From the molding line up, remove the vertical peice of the fender opening. cut right on the bend from vert to the existing flare. Make about six cuts in the original flare, perpendicular to the fender. This will allow you to lift the old flare about 1.5 to 2 inches. Bend the 1/4 inch rod over the new tire to get the radius right and then tack it in place. after making sure they are all even weld em in good. I used .035 wire in the mig and tig rod to fill in the resulting pie shaped gaps in the new flare. Grind and bondo to taste.
All four took about 8 hours, including moving the front opening forward to acomodate the forward offset of the MM k member and forward offset sn95 arms The paint is just spraycan white.
I'm sure there are other ways to get the job done, just passing on what worked for me.

You should go with a 245 -45-17 hoosier with no modifications needed. Let the other guys on smaller tires this year have a chance. Ha Ha Ha Good luck Mike - John 4 CP

Micha,

Your stang looks great. I hope mine turns out that good. Yes I run CP now with Mustangcobra1353 in the WDCR-SCCA. http://solo.wdcr-scca.org/ I got my tires and rims and I need to get them mounted by this weekend. We are in Awh right now. we wish both of our cars look like yours. I will try to do the same thing. Thank you very much for the insite. If you have any pics of the mod please let me know. I would like to make sure I do it right.

Thanks,
