I'm getting a stumble/backfire under load after a shift, especially around cold start. I've read this is a known(?) tip-in issue...At operating temps (180), it's goes away.

Basically, when I press the clutch pedal, A/F goes to 17:1, and when I engage it under good load, I get a stumble.and then the A/F eventually goes back to normal 12:1-15:1). This is on a t4m0 eec with an LMAF stock curve, and 60# inj using Ford's advertised slopes/breakpoint.

I've changed the VE and turned off tip-in, and even clocked the MAF, but just can't get rid of this problem. Any ideas? Do I need to adj the accel pump tables or HEGO tables (stock EGO locations)?

I'm not an experienced tuner, but what you're talking about sounds to me like the accelerator pump (or whatever the equivalent is in fuel injection.
