I'm in process of building a CMC 88 GT and would like to know the advantage/disadvantage of swapping to the spec carb (600 holley and the performer intake).
My reasoning, its lighter and I can sell the stock intake/ecm to buy other parts.
My questions are regarding the rules. they state that the stock fuel pump or replacement pump must be in the same location if using the stock fuel tank.
How do I pull this off w/o going to a fuel cell and a holley blue or red.
I suppose I could low buck it and run the stock efi pump and hope it doesn't burn itself out trying to keep up.

and if I install poly carb windows what are the restrictions on that? My car needs a windshield but i'm more interested in the other windows.

Thanks guys. lots of good info here.
