I had my car dynoed again at the same dyno and to my surprise my car was up more than 15hp and 20tq, even better was the 40lbs i gained from 3000 to 4000 and the 25-30 hp in the same range. I am very impressed at the numbers to say the least. peak came in at 254hp and 295tq!:joy:

holy ****! are you serious? i just put my pulleys on and, although i felt a difference, i didnt find it to be THAT significant. I dont have a t/a yet, but i want to save up for one....that'll be my next mod probably.
What gas are you running now at 12*?

wow that seems a little high. what kind of dyno was it? i got 6 rwhp and 13 rwtq at 14 degrees but my pullies were already on. ive seen dyno sheets that showed no gains from the pullies. what make were the pullies and timing adjuster.

I just slapped on some Steeda u/d pullies on my dads 01 GT vert. Holy hell if I wasn't mad as hell at the SOTP gain he got. I got almost no gain putting the MACs on my 98. Should I put the Steedas on?

I may have missed it, but what fuel are you running? I have no dyno number, only track numbers from my pulleys and T/A. My car had run a best of 100.50mph stock with about 4 runs of 40 over 100mph. Most were in the mid to high 99 range.

I installed the pulleys and T/A and the car went 100.50, 100.56, and 100.80 in less ideal conditions than before. This was with the timing at 13 with 93 octane. I was a little dissapointed but figured I picked up a little power. 2 days later I went back and bumped the timing to 15. The car responded with 102.14 and 101.91 runs. Since then I have run pretty much in the 101.50 range. I have moved the timing around several times since I ran the 102.14 and seems there may be a sweet spot somewhere on the adjuster that I am kinda missing right now.

I kinda wonder what you might get bumped up another couple degrees?

There should be little or no difference in power gains with aftermarket pullies they are all the same diameter so there would be no reason for it. The difference is in the quality, durability and the ability to use it with a TA.

so Bill are you saying all the gain is from the TA? I know this is not normal, can someone explain how I gained this much?

LX Hatch before I was traping around 99-100 now im at 102-103 ( i have only hit 103 1 time) this was at 12

89FOX, I don't think Mustang92 means that the pullies made no improvement. What he means is that two companies making the same size pulleys will get the same results if you understand how underdrive pulleys work.

Ahhh yea I misread his post, I do get the underdrive process, and that’s why I asked him to explain, I’m still not sure where the gains came from.

Very nice .. when I had my 98 cobra, pulleys was one of the best bang for the buck mods I did. 10+rwhp and about 14+rwtq peak gain with gains all through the RPM range!

Joe had it right I should have clarified that there isn't any real difference between the aftermarket pullies from different companies performance wise.

The gains are from both, I picked up 9.2RWHP from my TA alone. I didn't get exact numbers from the pullies but I'm sure it was comparable.

THAT BIG DIFFERENT FROM SO LITTLE

i got a 02 gt 5 sp,need to modified. notice you use kn and the steeda pullies.
the kn is just the filter itself not "cold-air-fender-mounted"kit. i was thinking
using the march pullies... i don't think there a different between them?....
i was reading the May 02 mustangs&fastfords...... they compared the old
66' gt350 vs 01' gt. i couldn't believe the time the 01 was pulling. stock car
best time 13.90 to 14.43 in the quarter mile..
