Thanks Nutz

I had been running the anderson N-111P pure street cam and switched to this used FTI cam, looks like I have picked up a solid 1.5-2mph.... What is sick is the fact that it would probably run 10.70's with the tremec back in it.... Or a good ($1000) convertor. I also need to get to the dyno to check shift points and the carb jetting. Very strange I had to come down 10 jet size's on the front bowl from the anderson cam.

What is wrong with your C4? I saw the post but didnt remember seeing what was wrong with it.

JIM nice runs brother. What size n stall convertor are you running? Also what size gears are you running? Where do u shift and cross the traps at RPM wise?

Also how do u like those Bassani step headers? I am actually lookin for a set of 1 3/4" stepped to 1 7/8" with a 3" collector. My only fear is a few people told me bassanis tend to hand down real low under the car. How do they fit and also how was the fitment with the c4? Thanks

The stall is supposed to be an art carr 5000 but it only stalls to about 4200. I run a 4.10, shift at 7000 and cross at 7000rpm. The bassani headers do hang down very low, probably about 2-3 inches off the ground. I am running the small bell C4 and the headers fit pretty good just a little grinding on the SFI bellhousing.

Thanks for the compliment.

NP man...well deserved....I bet if u get that convertor reflashed to about 5000-5300 rpm...U will pick up a good amount. I would def go up in gear to a 4.30 as well.

Thanks for the info on the bassani headers...I cant have mine hang that low...lol I drive my car on the street ALOT.:(

Nice numbers. Great feeling getting into the tens. I remember when I got my ride into the tens. Seems like yesterday but it was about 6 years ago. I drove home that weekend from the track and before I got back to my home town evryone knew about my runs(naturally aspirated). Funny how news travels fast at times.

Great job, congrats

Hey Jim, oh my c-4 gave up the ghost. Intermediate band,Number 2 thrust washer, metal shaving, broken pump lol. Should be fixed in a week or so! Im looking at building a new combo as well. Gonna do it slow though, just because this 331 hasnt even really been broken in yet. I feel i car run mid 10s once i swap gear and fix trans but then again my luck i will run mid 11s lol

yeah good luck nutzz.... Hopefully this C4 will last for a little while. I think by reading a good convertor is the trick.... But man I hate to spend $1000 for one.

My little 342 pump gas hyd roller cam motor runs very well. I have a PTC 8" 5k stall convertor behind it. I had an 9.5" 3800 stall art carr behind it...I picked up a full tenth in 60ft with the PTC unit. I spent $895 for it shipped to my door. Best money I ever spent.

Nice runs, I to would suggest getting a new converter. I had a 4k stall nitrous converter before not running nitrous and went to a BTE 8" 5800 stall I think was $850 and picked up over 2 tenths but still havent made a good run. The motor shop I use has 4 dragsters and a corvette body car that ran 4.13 in 1/8th mile. They run BTE so I trusted them. Never know poeple might not like them but I have had good luck so far. www.bteracing.com they are also cheaper then jegs/summit on everything I have ordered.
