After having an EGT in my truck for awhile, and using it all the time when I tow I decided that it would be a good idea to throw one on my Mustang given that the AEM has some RTD ports available for this purpose. I just got the AEM RTD sensor (read $$$) and was checking out the instructions and it appears that they are recommending 1.5" upstream of the turbo. This is pretty similar to what I have seen on trucks etc where you install the EGT pre-turbo as opposed to similar locations where you typically see o2 sensors on turbo cars. That said I am planning on welding it into the passenger side collector below the turbo on my B&G hotside most likely facing the assesory drive or somewhere close in there. Has anyone else installed one in that location? What have y'all done in terms of installing an EGT sensor on your turbo cars?
