I dyno'd my car this evening on the pump gas setting. It has the ITS stage II turbo kit on it. We were going to put some C16 in it and lean it out and turn up the timing but were already nervous of the bottom end after seeing the pump gas numbers (through the tailpipes) ...

526.3rwhp 537rwtq (SAE)

Anyways, I was very pleased with it considering this is how the car is driven all the time. There's no telling what it could do with a real tune and more boost/more timing.

Great number's. What else to have done to the engine? How much boost and what was your timing? Wish I could get mine there. Still trying to figure out my PMS. -Jeff

It has a TFS-R intake, small cam, TFS TW heads, 42's, and a few other little things. I looked at your combo the other day, you have plenty of room to gain hp so I'm sure you'll get it all straigtened out.

Yes, I'll get one of my friends with a scanner to do it some time today and get it up as soon as I can.

Awesome power. How much boost did you run to get those #'s?

The hole in the graph is from the tires spinning a little on the dyno. As for the amount of boost....I typically see about 7psi or so b/c of the 3.73's doing most of the work in the lower gears but in 4th I see about 9.5psi (it's really hard to tell though b/c of the little numbers on the 2 1/16" autometer gauge). I have bought some 3.27 gears for it so it will load the motor a lot more down low.

doubt it was tire spin

it wasnt tire spin..

If the tires spin it was due to not being straped down right .. that being said if the car does NOT spin at peek toruqe then it will not spin anywhere.
because that is when the highest load is placed between the drums and the tires and when the car would spin if it did.

i have seen 700 rear wheel horses pulled down on my dyno jet without any tire spin on a 245/45/16 non drag radial with zero tire spin ..

also seen a 235/60/14 road hugger hold 798 rwhp on my small block chevy nitroused 280z

Good job Barry!

Now you just need a timeslip to back up your dyno results!

Good for you...I don't care. Why do you always have to post in every thread I make. Also, NO you weren't there and YES it was tire spin, the car probably just needed to be tightened down a hair more. I never said anything about it spinning b/c of the large amounts of power it made...just simply said it spun the tires.
There was a car there that made 1455rwhp right before my car and he didn't spin the tires....what's your point? All I did was state what happened.

And just one more time for the record, I don't care about your car, I don't care about the power it makes, and I don't care about you running a dyno. My buddy has an in-ground dyno in his back yard in the garage - he's just another joe blow as far as I'm concerned...same as you. I normally read your threads and just move on without trying to pick apart what you say. Please do the same.

Damn Barry, Carson should put you on the front page of his website! Those numbers alone should sell some kits! Now get that thing to the track so you can get your 10 sec. time slip!:joy:

92fastlx,
what's the hp limit of those turbos?
also- did you use a a/f monitor on the dyno?
LOL, of course I used a wideband on the dyno. We used a new Lamda unit that just screwed into the bung on my exhaust elbow coming right off the turbo. Yeah, if you know me...you know I rarely dyno a car b/c I NEVER do it just for $hits and giggles. I have to have a reason to do it - such as making sure I have a good a/f curve and doing a little tuning. Although, a/f curve by itself isn't a surefire way of knowing everything is ok. I saw Chris Johnson tune a pump gas procharged mustang to a 12.5:1 a/f ratio which most people would say is rediculous for a 500+ hp street car on pump gas but I mean, who argues with Chris Johson :D. I had a turbo friend that runs a dyno do the tuning on mine, it was initially running pretty rich up top but we finally got it settled in the high 11.X:1 - around 11.6-11.9 (once again...not really a definite show of whether or not it will last if setup is solely based upon this). As for the max of the turbos...I'm not real sure...I wasn't even close to really pushing them and could have easily hit 600rwhp (despite already being in fear of splitting the block) with C16 by bumping up the timing a good bit and leaning out the a/f curve more. This actual setup has been running for about 9 months. It's just that I swapped the car the motor was in and changed the intake and decided I'd dyno it.

On a sidenote, was that 10.78 @130 done in the same trim you made 497rwhp? If so, that's awesome for a stick shifted car....it's hard to get these things good into the 10's manually shifting (it's impressive no matter how it was done, just curious). Also, what was the cars weight?

yes, same trim. except when i dynoed, it was 95 degrees out (seriously). and when i ran the 10.78, it was 55 deg. i figure i was putting a few more horses to the ground that day.
weighs 3550 w/driver. 26x9 slicks, launching @ 4500 off the 2-step. i ran a [email protected] on nittos.
thanx.

Nice numbers LX....

The Amazing Gershkin predicts , ....
...... 11.3 @ ......... 125 !!!!!!!
lol , .... just messin with ya, probably run 10s, but damn Ill bet that bad boy will mile an hour like CRAZY !!!

again great numbers,
OH and SALEEN, F***-OFF, you weren't there, you can't say what did or did not happen. Try saying something like " Im surprised that it spun when it did, instead of at peak torque. Was it not quite secured properly? " Then everybody wouldn't think you were such an A$$HOLE. Instead of trying to make out like you looked into your crystal ball and peer'd through time to see what went on....
